Dr. Eric R. Tyler
Dr. Eric Tyler grew up in Marin County. He knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry - having had great experiences with his dentist and orthodontist as a child. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology & a minor in Chemistry from Sonoma State University. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. After dental school, Dr. Tyler attended UCLA to earn his Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Dr. Tyler speaks both English & Spanish for optimal patient communication.
Dr. Tyler was a clinical instructor at the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry teaching dental students diagnosis and treatment planning skills. He enjoyed his time at the university collaborating with colleagues and students alike.
Dr. Tyler enjoys balancing his life between private practice, volunteer activities, and triathlon sports. He regularly volunteers at CDA (California Dental Association) Cares events throughout the state & Give Kids a Smile events providing free dental services. Outside of the dentistry realm, Dr. Tyler regularly trains for Ironman triathlon events. He typically races in 3-4 events throughout the year around the United States. In 2021, he earned All World Athlete status from Ironman.
Dr. Tyler is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA) and the Marin County Dental Society (MCDS). Dr. Tyler resides in Novato with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. John J. Yun
Dr. John (Jeongfill) Yun was originally born in Korea. At the age of 12, he decided to move to America with a goal of learning English. He then got his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biological Sciences from University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA. He pursued his goal of becoming a dentist by attending University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2016. Dr. Yun completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Tucson, AZ at NYU Langone Dental program in 2017. After completing residency, he decided to move to Novato to start his dental career. Dr. Yun speaks fluent Korean and lives in Novato with his wife and his daughter.
Dr. Yun provides genuine care to patients to help them achieve better oral health and well being. His passion is about helping others and treating everyone with respect, he has volunteered at many CDA cares events and plans on doing overseas missions to provide dental care to underserved populations.
He enjoys lifting and going on food adventures with his family. He stays up to date with the latest dental technology attending many continuing education courses. He also regularly completes training through the Kois Center in Seattle, an evidence based teaching center focused on esthetics and restorative dentistry.
He is a member of California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Marin County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a member of Spear study club.
